BMW iX Charging Cables

Though its design is reminiscent of previous BMW SUVs, the iX stands out for being the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV offering. With an all-wheel-drive system, spacious cabin and a slew of high tech gadgetry, it is a delightful family friendly option. It will come with a hexagonal-shaped steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. The sunroof will have electrochromic shading that will adjust to light exposure for more comfortable driving.
Buyers will be able to choose between fabric, faux-leather and leather upholstery and enjoy heated seats. The iX comes with a large infotainment display and sizable digital gauge display for the driver. You will be able to set up an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot and wirelessly charge your phone.
The iX is believed to come with an 80 KWh battery pack, similar to what is being used in the brand’s i4 sedan. It is estimated to have a range of 300 miles per charge. The impressive range may be partly thanks to the incorporation of carbon fibre plastic parts that have lightened its frame. It is also powered by dual electric motors which drive all four wheels. It can achieve an acceleration of 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds.
The iX can be charged using a wall plug, wall box or public charger. Using an 11 kW AC charging, the battery can be fully charged in 8 hours. For fast charging using a 150 kW Dc charging source, it can top up from 0-80% charge in just 27 minutes.
It can be charged using a 3-pin to Type 2 connector for the wall plug. For a wall charger, it requires a Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable. A CCS connector is required for fast charging.
