Mercedes EQB Charging Cables

The Mercedes EQB is an all-electric Crossover SUV inspired by their highly popular and mainstream GLB model. Estimated to be on offer in 2021, this vehicle is expected to utilize an electric powertrain similar to that of the EQA. This means electric motors on each axle and a 60 kWh battery pack, with 80 kWh optional, located on its spine. It is predicted to achieve 0-to-60 mph in under 6 seconds thanks to its 268 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque.

Chances are this model will come as a five-seater, allowing room for the motor and battery packs. If, however, the battery pack is mounted on the floor, this model may also be availed as a seven-seater option.

The EQB will likely offer a decent level of interior design quality including use of metal and soft plastic trims in blue accents. Photos of prototypes also suggest a likely closed grille and smoother tailgate design for the exteriors. The EQ range is also expected to use more markedly sharp front and rear lights.

The EQB is further predicted to achieve a range of up to 310 miles on a full charge. The EQ range makes use of the CCS charging standard for AC and DC charging. The EQB will likely with a Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable. While the EQ range can be charged off a household power outlet, installing a Mercedes Wallbox will result in much faster charging. Currently, there are no details on charging time for the EQB. The EQ series is however also expected to be able to accommodate an optional wireless inductive charging system.
