Nissan Ariya Charging Cables

The Nissan Ariya is part of a growing trend of sporty compact crossover electric SUVs that are hitting the market. It has futuristic accents like its thin LED headlights and connected backlights. Its minimalistic dashboard has a very sleek look whose simplicity is amplified by the spacious cabin and zero gravity seats. In place of buttons and knobs, the cars digital and infotainment system is managed through touchscreen displays.
It also comes with other helpful technologies including driving and parking assistance. The Nissan Ariya runs off of dual motors and an e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system. This affords it 389 horsepower and is estimated to give it an acceleration of 0-60mph in about 5 seconds. It should be able to reach a top speed of just under 100mph.
It is a unique offering from Nissan that can be found in two variations that offer differing ranges. There is a standard 63.0kWh battery pack and a larger capacity 87.0kWh pack. The larger pack coupled with dual-front/rear motor drive configuration is expected to give the Ariya a range of up to 300 miles.
The Ariya can charge from 1a1-22kW AC source in 3-phase. It can achieve full charge in under 5-9 hours. It can also accommodate rapid charging with a maximum fast charge power of 130kW DC. With rapid charging, it achieves 10-80% charge within 35 minutes. It can also be charged using a wall plug, which should take 44.5 hours for a full charge.
It requires a 3-pin to Type 2 connector if charging from a wall plug, and type 2 to type 2 charging cable for a wall charger. It requires a CCS connector for fast charging. This is a change from earlier Nissan EVs that have been built to accommodate CHAdeMO.
